PLC analog input scaling: raw counts, 4–20 mA and diagnostics
Map raw counts into engineering units, check the configured channel range, and keep signal-quality diagnostics separate from the displayed value.
Electrical input power per unit of delivered free-air flow under specified operating and reference conditions.
A value in kW per m³/min can convert a matching free-air flow into an energy equivalent. Pressure, reference conditions and compressor operating mode must be consistent. Reducing demand does not guarantee proportional meter savings because unload and sequencing behavior matter. Try the air leak calculator.

A three-phase example distinguishes shaft output, real input power, apparent power and running current, with the limits of a simple estimate.
Calculate a leak energy equivalent, keep free-air reference conditions consistent, and check compressor response before promising a saving.
