The safety disclaimer (read this)
Shopfloor publishes educational information about industrial technology. It is not engineering advice, and it is not a substitute for qualified professional judgment, vendor documentation, applicable codes and standards, or your facility's own procedures.
Industrial systems can injure people and damage property when misapplied. Verify everything against primary sources before acting on it — especially anything touching safety systems, electrical work, pressure, motion, or process control. By reading this site you accept that applying what you read is your responsibility and your risk.
Content and use
- Original articles are published for reading, citing, and sharing with attribution. Republishing entire articles elsewhere requires permission.
- External index entries and fresh headlines belong to their publishers; Shopfloor links to them and summarizes briefly for discovery.
- Do not use the site in ways that abuse its infrastructure: aggressive scraping that ignores caching headers, forging notification requests, or probing for vulnerabilities. Security researchers: see /.well-known/security.txt.
Availability and warranty
The site is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind — accuracy, completeness, fitness for purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Automated sections (fresh headlines, feeds) depend on third-party publishers and update on a best-effort basis.
